What kind of chip does ChatGPT USE?

Recently, the ChatGPT-led generative model has become a new hot spot in AI, with Microsoft and Google in Silicon Valley investing heavily in such technologies (Microsoft has a $10 billion stake in OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, and Google has recently released its own BARD model), while Internet technology companies in China, represented by Baidu and others, have also indicated that they are developing such technologies and will go live in the near future. In China, Baidu and other Internet technology companies have also indicated that they are developing such technologies and will go live in the near future.   The generative models represented by ChatGPT have a common feature, that is, they use massive data for pre-training, and are often paired with a more powerful language model. The main function of the language model is to learn from the massive existing corpus, and after learning, it can understand the user's linguistic instructions, or furthermore, generate relevant tex

How to do PCB edge plating ?

PCB board, mainly in order to make full use of the board, so as to improve production efficiency.   Relatively simple is the rule of the plate frame of the plate.     As shown in the picture above, the board frame is square, and it is easy to assemble four boards, among which, only one board needs wiring, while the other boards only need the frame, which the sample factory will handle (it is better to copy the components and lines in the past, so that it is not easy to make mistakes).   The lines in the mechanical layer of the regular plate frame are cut by the Vcut knife, but the plate thickness of 0.4mm cannot be cut by the Vcut knife.   What if it's an irregular frame?   In the picture above, stamp holes (with five circles) are used. I used a circle with a radius of 0.4mm and a line width of 0.127mm. The spacing between the circles is about 10mil, not too wide. In this way, the plate factory will drill holes in the rings, so that the hand can easily break it.   For the lines in

ASML Expects 25% Growth In 2023

Despite the challenging market environment, ASML ended fiscal 2022 with net sales of €21.2 billion, up 13.8 percent year-over-year, and net income of €5.6 billion, down 4.4 percent year-over-year. ASML expects to grow net sales by more than 25 percent in 2023.   In the fourth quarter of 2022, the Veldhoven, Netherlands-based company reported net sales of €6.4 billion, at the midpoint of its guidance range, and net income of €1.8 billion. "Bookings are good," said ASML CEO Peter Wennink in a video interview posted on the company's website following the release of quarterly and annual results. "We booked more than €6 billion in bookings, resulting in a record backlog of more than €40 billion by the end of 2022. That's something [we've] never seen before, so the backlog sets a core record."   Gross margin was 51.5 percent in the fourth quarter and 50.5 percent for the full year.   "It was a pretty good year with good performance in some challenging cir

What is the future of chip manufacturing?

The 68th annual IEEE International Conference on Electronic Devices in San Francisco. iEDM is the premier conference for state-of-the-art semiconductor device technology. At this year's conference, organizations including Intel, TSMC, Samsung, IBM, Micron, Shinsei, Sunrise, Applied Materials and countless others, research institutions such as IMEC and CEA-Leti, and then several universities showcased cutting-edge semiconductor technologies. Cutting edge here means not only the most advanced logic processes, but also memory, analog, packaging and many other areas. It is important to stay tuned to this conference because it showcases technologies that will lead to changes in the business of devices, foundries, fabless, equipment, and packaging.   This paper is part of a short series on the many advances, developments and research discussed at IEDM, which will cover advanced logic technologies and advanced packaging. This paper will cover CFET - the next evolution of GAA transistors,
